Police investigating robbery at Grove Street convenience store
Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Montclair convenience entrepot on Wednesday.
According to a statement from the Montclair Police Section, a man entered the Plantation Convenience Store, 133 Orchard St., just after noon, leaned o'er the counter and took cash in exterior of the cash register. Police aforementioned that the man then brandished what appeared to be a knife, and threatened to stab a store employee if He attempted to interpose.
The suspect fled the store and was seen heading eastbound on Oxford University Street in an older-model chromatic vehicle.
The man was described As a light-complexioned black male with thin build, cross-eyelike and having a short haircut and a goatee. At the time of the incident, he was according to be eating away a gray hooded sweatshirt with a zip up, a red shirt and light blue jeans. He was estimated to constitute 6'5″ tall and about 40 to 45 years old.
No unmatched was unsound in the incident. Information technology is not known how much money was stolen.
